To celebrate the opening of the Metro Tunnel, public transport users have access to free weekend travel until February 1 2026.

Passengers don't need a valid ticket or myki to travel for free.

Some regional services will continue to require a reservation at zero cost to manage seating capacity, in-line with existing requirements. 

On services using myki, passengers won’t be required to tap on or off with their myki.
